PokéAPI
Species data and sprite images come from PokéAPI and its sprites repository. PokéAPI data is available under the BSD 3-Clause License. Data is fetched once at build time and served statically; we never proxy or crawl the live API.
The pkmn project & @smogon/calc
Competitive data structures, the Showdown team format, and the damage calculation engine use the MIT-licensed @pkmn packages and @smogon/calc, the same engine behind the Pokémon Showdown damage calculator.
Smogon / Pokémon Showdown usage statistics
Monthly usage percentages, common movesets, spreads, teammates, and counters are aggregated from the publicly published Smogon usage statistics, generated from Pokémon Showdown ladder battles. We are not affiliated with Smogon or Pokémon Showdown. Statistics are refreshed monthly and each page notes its data month.
